Wordless Wednesday: Civil Rights

 

My students and I wrapped up a brief investigation about civil rights last week.  Below is one of the of the activities that my kiddos completed.
 
Did you talk about civil rights with your students?  If so what creative ways did you use to get your students to grasp a concept of equality?

    We talked about MLK and his impact on civil rights. Through reading several books ad watching several videos. I think that even though I have Kindergarten it is still important to talk about these type of subjects so they can start to gain an understanding of our countries history and issues that Americans faced then and even still sometimes today. Great job with your activity!
